Has your family ever buried a time capsule?
We did this around 6 months ago. Took pictures-clothes-a few of the kids toys and put them in a metal box, our10 year old daughter wrote a letter to her baby sister and read it on videotape and also recorded herself singing her favorite songs and put the tape inside of it. Our other daughter who is only 1, we put one of her diapers in it (clean of course) and some of her baby clothes and toys. We took a newspaper and put it in there, a tv guide, we taped several hours of CNN news from the day before and put it in there, handprints and footprints of the girls, Just all sorts of random stuff. We buried it in the back yard with plans of opening it all in 10 years from the day. I think its going to be amazing yet so strange in a way. Our oldest who is just a little girl now will be a grown woman when we open it-around 20-21 in 10 short years, and her baby sister will be the age she is now. That just does not seem possible, its mind boggling when you think of it.
